About Us

Team Solan

Founded in 2015 as The Solan Connor Fawcett Family Cancer Trust, we understand first-hand how a cancer diagnosis can change everything, not just for the individual, but for the whole family.

We support our Warriors - the children, adults and families we stand beside - from diagnosis, through treatment, and beyond. Whether that’s recovery, ongoing care, or bereavement, no one faces it alone.

Working across County Durham and the wider North East, our support is personal, responsive and built around real life. From counselling and wellbeing therapies to financial help, food, travel and everyday essentials, we’re here to ease the pressure and provide support when it’s needed most.

Because when life is turned upside down, no one in the North East should face it alone.

Cancer Support

We are here

For You

No matter what your cancer journey looks like, you don’t have to face it alone.

At Team Solan, we provide personalised cancer support for our Warriors and their families across the North East - supporting emotional, physical, practical and financial needs when life feels overwhelming.

Our Support Hub in Spennymoor offers a safe, welcoming space to access a range of services, including counselling, complementary therapies, a dedicated beauty and wig room, and a drop-in centre for those who need someone to talk to.

Alongside this, our boutique and furniture store helps provide essential items and financial relief for families facing the added pressures that come with a cancer diagnosis.

Every cancer journey is different. That’s why our support is built around the individual - creating moments of calm, comfort and normality during some of the most difficult times in life, while helping people manage the realities of day-to-day living.
